Get to Know Your Roots felt like the obvious lead on from our ABC books. We love producing content that is both fun and educational, and we’re always trying to think of new ways to inspire and teach younger generations of punk fans. For this book, we wanted to include more factual information about the icons that we featured, as well as our recognisable illustrations.
We were extremely honoured to have renowned photographer BJ Papas write a foreword for Get to Know Your Roots. Many of the musical icons that we featured in the book would not have been anywhere near as established without her trailblazing photography that really cemented the hardcore scene in music history. She is such a huge part of the hardcore scene and we’re thrilled to have collaborated with her on this book.
We’ve had wonderful feedback on the illustrations and the book from customers and musicians across the globe. It’s always such an amazing feeling when the icons that we’ve featured in our books let us know they like our representation of them and even order copies from us!
