Over the past year we have illustrated and produced two HECreative children’s book collaborations with HR of Bad Brains, I’ve Got The P.M.A! and Give Thanks.

I’ve Got The P.M.A! and Give Thanks are each a collaboration with hardcore legend Paul “HR” Hudson of iconic DC band Bad Brains. We were approached by HR to illustrate a children’s book spreading the message of positive mental attitude that HR has been spreading for over 40 years.

Illustrating this book allowed us to design a bright and happy version of little HR as he demonstrates how to live carefree and positive, regardless of the world around him, inspired by music and positivity. Working with such an iconic figure from the hardcore punk scene was truly a dream of ours, and we’re so proud of what we’ve created together.

I’ve Got The P.M.A! was such a success, HR commissioned us to illustrate a second book. Give Thanks is a children’s book all about giving thanks and appreciating life, featuring 24 beautifully illustrated pages spreading the message of Giving Thanks.
